Simi was conceived on April 19, 1988 in Lagos, Nigeria. She was just 9 years old when her parents divorced. Her mother took the responsibility of bringing her up. Simi has 3 elder siblings. She went to Stars International College in Lagos. Then, she attended Covenant University, to obtain a degree in Mass Communication. She used to sing in her church choir when she was young.
Career
Simi started her professional career by releasing her debut album titled Ogaju in 2008. It was a blistering success and made her known to general audiences. She signed a deal with record label X3M Music and released her EP titled Restless. In 2014, Simi released her songs ”E No Go Funny” and ”Tiff” which brought her attention and fame.
