Sarah was born on January 8, 1979, in Ontario, Canada. Her father’s name is Harry Gulkin who is a famous film and theatre producer. Her mother’s name is Diane Elizabeth Polley. She was an actress and casting director. Sarah is the youngest of her five children. When she was just 11 years old, her mother Diane passed away.
Sarah went to Subway Academy II and Earl Haig Secondary School, for studies but later dropped out to pursue her acting career.

Sarah Polly started her career by appearing in the movie One Magic Christmas at age 4. When she was just eight years old, she landed the role of Ramona Quimby in the hit Canadian TV series Ramona.
