Muna aka Munachi Gail Teresa Abii Nwankwo was conceived on November 5, 1987 in Nigeria. She spent her childhood in Port Harcourt. Her family was very supportive of her entering the music and modeling industry. Muna attended Federal Government Girls’ College to complete her O’Levels. Then she went to Benson Idahosa University to study Internation Affairs and Diplomacy.
Career
While Muna was in the University, she entered the beauty pageant ”Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria” and ultimately emerged as the winner. She used her platform to raise consciousness regarding several health issues. Regarding her musical career, she was a member of a rap band named The Specimen A. They released their album My PH Girl which brought them recognition and praise.
Muna appeared in many music videos by other artists. She performed at several events and concerts. In 2010, Muna launched her solo debut album The Goddess, The Hustler which made her famous. Her songs ”I Feel Real” and ”Killer Queen” proved very successful. Muna has endorsed several brands such as Unilever, Ole, Pearl, Nokia, and Samsung.
