Mr Eazi Biography

Mr Eazi aka Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade was conceived on July 19, 1991 in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. His father is a licensed pilot and his mother is a small business owner. When he was just 16 years old, he moved to Ghana to attend Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. There, he studied mechanical engineering program. While he was in University, he showed interest in music and started making records.

Career

Mr Eazi tried his hands at several business ventures including soft drink imports, gold mining, and food distribution. At one time, he was involved in 6 businesses at once. He was also a club promoter once but quit that job to focus full time on his music career. In 2013, he released his mixtape About to Blow and relocated to Nigeria in 2014. Here he met producer Juls and made a record together which was quite successful.

In 2015, Mr Eazi gained fame and recognition when his single was released. It was a super-hit song. In 2016, he was featured in the song ”Dance for Me” which was very popular and Guardian magazine even named it as one of the 10 biggest African tracks of 2016. Later in 216, Wizkid signed him to his label Starboy Entertainment. He released his second mixtape titled Life Is Eazi, Vol. 1 – Accra To Lagos in 2017. It was a huge success and sold more than 200,000 copies in pre-orders.

In 2019, Mr Eazi performed at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. He also launched emPawa Africa which will help upcoming African artists in their endeavors. In 2020, Mr Eazi released two EPs One Day You Will Understand something Else.
