Hugo Wallace Weaving was conceived on 4 April 1960 in Nigeria. His parents were British. His father Wallace Weaving was a seismologist and his mother Anne Lennard was a tour guide. When he was one year old, his family relocated to Australia. Hugo went to The Downs School and Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital. Then, he attended the National Institute of Dramatic Art and graduated with a degree in Arts.
