Caster Semenya is a South African middle-distance runner and Olympic winner. She is more famous as Olympic gold medalist 2016. She won a gold medal in women’s 800 meter in World Championships 2009.
She has also won a number of other awards and titles. But unfortunately, she has faced some issues regarding her biological sex and we will be talking about it in the next few paragraphs. She earns money from her athletic activities and the titles she wins. Her current net worth is $1 million.
Mokgadi Caster Semenya is 28 years old and was born in 1991 in South Africa. She spent her childhood in Fairlie, that’s a small village in northern Limpopo province.
She had great attachment with her grandmother and she lived mostly with her in the early days of her life. Little is known about her family and parents but she had four other siblings, including three sisters and one brother.
She went to attend the secondary school but after that she could not complete her education. She was a great fan of soccer. That was the reason she used to run but there was written something more special for her than soccer. Her athletic performance and fitness brought her Olympic gold medals and she became all famous.
The report on her life reveals that she won gold medal in 2008 in World Junior Championships. It was the same year, 2008, when she won a gold medal in Commonwealth Games by winning both 800 meter and 1500-meter distance races.
With time, her performance improved and she was the leading winner of 800-meter distance race. She also won a gold in 2009 at World Championships.
She rose to fame and success so quickly that the whole world was amazed. This also proved harmful for her in some ways and her dramatic fitness raised questions about her gender. Other athletes believed that she was not a female. So International Association of Athletic Federation (IAAF) asked her to get sex tests in order to confirm that she was a female.

But the most interesting part was that the result of her test was never revealed. However, she was allowed to make a comeback as she was banned until the test results came. Many of the athletes, journalists, celebrities and media persons came in her support and they believed it was a kind of racisms and it was an attack on Caster’s privacy and rights.
When it comes to the personal life of Caster, she married her long-term partner and now wife, Violet Raseboya. The start of their relationship was quite interesting. Violet first thought that Caster was a boy and then they started dating.
They got married in 2015 and most of the celebrities, famous people, athletes and other renowned personalities attended their wedding. Caster has revealed at many points that her wife is very supportive and she has always stood by her even at the lowest points.
And most of her wealth is the result of her progression, awards, titles and championships she has won so far.
