Bez Biography

Bez aka Emmanuel Bez Idakula was conceived on November 10, 1983. He belongs to a musical family. His mother and father were also musicians. They used to record songs in front of their children which lead to Bez developing an interest in Music. He also liked to paint and sketch.

When Bez was just twelve years old, his father passed away. His dad was a politician. His death caused the family to have financial concerns. At one time, Bez couldn’t even afford to pay his high school and college tuition fees. A generous person paid his fees anonymously. Bez went to Loyola Jesuit College, and then attended Covenant University. He graduated with a degree in Information and communications technology.

Career

Bez used to sing while he was in College. here, he met singer Prai who quickly became his good friend. They later collaborated on a song together. Bez released his debut album Super Sun in 2011. It received positive critical reception and launched him into the limelight. In 2013, he released his second album titled Gbagyi Child which was a success. His albums fetched him several awards and nominations.

In 2012, Bez performed in many events and concerts, for instance, the Applause Africa Award ceremony, The New Africa Shrine in Harlem, Nigeria House pre-Olympic concerts, Super Sun Concert, Africa Utopia, Africa Leadership Network Annual conference, Sol Village and TML100 event. In 2013, he embarked on a tour of the USA and Europe.

Bez has collaborated with many artists including Praiz, Yemi Alade, Timi Dakolo, Wizkid, Patoranking, and Simi. He is also a philanthropist. He formed the Bez Idakula Foundation whose purpose is to help the kids who need financial aid. He remembers that someone else paid for his fee when he couldn’t afford it. That’s why he created this organization.
